Africa’s Diverse Rural Problems

Over 150 million Africans are suffering from the effects of poverty. Although Africa has the natural resources to produce enough food to feed her peoples her agricultural output is generally characterised by poor crops and low levels of food production. This can also be affected by low rainfall and drought. 

90% of Africa’s people live in the rural areas where there is little or no work, leaving people with no option but to seek work in the towns and cities.
