Mwengenya slum east of Nairobi
at the Blessed Day Care Centre 130 homeless children are being fed 3 days
a week and are given juice once a week.
Members of Pastor Daniel's Fellowship break up granite into building stone using hammers when they have a big mound of stone it is sold to building contractors the earnings they use to support themselves, the sick (victims of hiv aids) and widows. We want to develop a community garden in this area and train members in sustainable agriculture and in return the project will provide the homeless with nutritious vegetables. There is a stream running through this slum area which can supply sufficient water for the garden. We also want to develop a Broiler project that will provide a much needed source of protein. Please refer to a series of photographs of Bob’s recent mission to Kenya. |
