Projects
 Sewing
In the African Rural Setting most people have not
had the privilege of learning the skill of sewing, but through Elshaddai's Training Programme people have
the opportunity to be equipped with the skill of sewing.
Savings club members are active in garment
making and are able to purchase sewing machines through the community finance programme. This gives club
members the opportunity to develop their own income generating projects. Parents are encouraged to involve
their daughters in the sewing courses.
There is an increased demand for training
in sewing as this skill fulfills an important function in the rural areas.
 Beadwork, Candles and Baking
 Savings Club
Savings Clubs are formed upon invitation to
teach the communities how they can save towards achieving their goals and objectives. The saving club becomes
the venue for all training and gives the Elshaddai Project workers the opportunity to share the good news of
Jesus Christ.
Elshaddai's development programmes
serve the rural communities in all the areas of their needs By forming savings clubs of 25 to 50 people
Elshaddai wants to teach the people how to use their natural resources of land and money effectively.
 The Christian Gospel
As a Christian Charity Elshaddai Practical Ministries is reaching out a helping hand
to the poor and destitute people of Africa.
The Great Commission tells us to go into all the World and Preach the Gospel to every Person.
Our Christian calling in Elshaddai is to show God’s Love and Compassion and to send out the Life Boat.
Pure Religion and undefiled before God and The Father is this; To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction and keep himself
unspotted from the World. James 1 v 27
"Then shall He answer them, saying, verily I say unto you, In as much as ye did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to Me.
(To Bless one who belongs to God is to Bless God, To Harm one who belongs to God is to Harm God.) Matthew 25 v 45.
 Life Sustaining Water
 Sanitation
Sanitation is an area of great concern,
The area of Health and Safety is non-existent, accidents have occurred by young children falling down toilets
and by toilets collapsing and sinking.
We therefore have trained and equipped men and women in the
skill of constructing D.I.Y. toilets. (Toilet without smell) It is encouraging to note that our training courses on
D.I.Y toilets have been very effective . There are many success stories to report.
The duration of a D.I.Y. Toilet course is seven days,
following is a series of Photographs of the construction of a Phunguluthu toilet.

 HIV/ AIDS / Homelessness
HIV Aids is having a devastating effect on Africa’s families.
Many thousands of children have been left homeless because of parents having died of AIDS related diseases.
In these cases, relatives such as grandparents do not have the resources to care for the children.
In the slums of Nairobi Kenya thousand upon thousand of children
born are not registered at birth therefore are not recognised as Kenyan Citizens, there is no help for these desperate people,
Elshaddai Practical Ministries are supporting hundreds of destitute homeless orphaned children, who are being fed, clothed and cared
for by the Pastors and volunteers of five projects.
122 Homeless orphaned children are being fed three days a week at Pastor
Daniel’s Day care centre Project in Mwengenya slum east of Nairobi, there is a urgent need to provide these little children with nutritious food,
Presently they are surviving on the very bare minimum, Elshaddai Practical Ministries is supporting Pastor Daniel in his initiative to feed these 122 children.
We want to develop a community garden in this area and train members in
sustainable agriculture and in return the project will provide the homeless with nutritious vegetables. There is a stream running through this slum area
which can supply sufficient water for the garden. We also want to develop a Broiler project that will provide a much needed source of protein.
Please refer to a series of photographs of Bob’s recent mission to Kenya.
Elshaddai Practical Ministries, is working in the slums of Nairobi Kenya,
our objective is to reach out a caring hand to the poor and destitute and neglected victims of poverty who have been abandoned by the Kenyan
Authorities and left to ravage in the dumps of Nairobi for survival, heart rendering to see small children desperate for something to eat.
Sanitation is non existent and the stench is beyond description.
Jesus said: I tell you
the truth, whatsoever you did for the one of the least of these brothers
of mine, ye did for me…. Matthew 25 v 31 – 46
