SewingIn the African Rural Setting most people have not had the privilege of learning the skill of sewing, but through Elshaddai's Training Programme people have the opportunity to be equipped with the skill of sewing.Savings club members are active in garment making and are able to purchase sewing machines through the community finance programme. This gives club members the opportunity to develop their own income generating projects. Parents are encouraged to involve their daughters in the sewing courses. There is an increased demand for training in sewing as this skill fulfills an important function in the rural areas. |
